Images from The Silver Factory Studios and Puka Bar Shows
We played quite some interesting shows over the long weekend. We played a very psychedelic set with Josh from Luna Is Honey on sweet sweet saxophone at the Silver Factory Studios on Sunday. Thanks to Manhattan Murder Mystery for hooking us up with this show. The place is open until dusk meets dawn, so we got to play for vampires and werewolves. On Monday, we drove all the way to Long Beach to play the Not Robot Not Human show at Puka Bar, apparently some miscommunication with the venue almost didn't make the show happen, however, Kyle from NHNR, managed to take care of things and everything went on smoothly. Really interesting acts that night, POLTERN, WHITE LEOPARD, and XDUGEF, who spooked the hell out of Rhea. We are glad to meet such interesting people doing interesting things, exploring the wide spectrum of sounds and noises. Heres some images to gaze at..

Tomorrow at Downtown LA
Don't forget tomorrow night will be a dope-ass art show/warehouse party at Downtown LA. Champ will also be showing some of his art and we will be performing to the visuals of Kenneth Anger. Also playing at that event will be Soul Or System, whom we haven't seen but heard a lot about. They do live visual mixing which is pretty dope. Heres a a little map showing where it is since the warehouse is kinda tricky to find...Its 5 bucks donation which I think is pretty much worth the experience and the trip...We will have zines and posters and other stuff available too -for sale or for trade or for free if you can talk us into it.
And, if you want options, LUNA IS HONEY is having their record release show at Bow and Sparrow Gallery w/ Michael Nhat and Cardio-Pulmonary and E+E. Their new record, "Raptor Red" is so badass. And Champ has been wanting to do a remix of "Still Killing Kreeps" We'll see...Ayayay!

The Scene w/ The Littlest Viking, Frontiers, and The Wilderness
Its funny when the only way some people can relate with what you do is by identifying it with something else that they feel is comparable to what you do. I overheard someone say "You guys sound like "so and so". Have you heard of them?" And they act surprised that you haven't. Thats a the most common line that hipsters say when they wanna be identified as such -its an indirect way of saying I-Am-A-Hipster-In-Case-You-Did_Not-Notice!. Usually such lines are followed with "You mean you haven;t heard of them?" Should I? Well, what gives? Anyways, we're not against hipsters or anyone in particular -that was just an observation. Clearly, it was a fun show on Monday despite of the show starting late and us driving my car that only runs 30mph. We played aroun 10:30ish and right away we entered ghost territory and sonically invoked the spirit of Krishnamurti. The show started late but we had fun and felt great about doing what we did. I used my mini-KP for th first time and that baby is a killer. Frontiers and The Wilderness played really interesting sets but The Littlest Viking totally creamed everyone on the face. But in a good way. Thanx for Chris and Ruben for showing everyone at The Scene that night how its done yo!
